Aaronia offers a portable RF spectrum analyzer range which represents a new price point for such products. The performance and price offered by the SPECTRAN series make it a highly valuable tool for engineers who only rarely require a spectrum analyzer. EMC evaluation testing and RF interference can be identified quickly. As well as being lower cost, the SPECTRAN RF units are much smaller, lower power and lighter than other RF spectrum analyzers currently available. The low power consumption offers up to 9 hours of continuous operation from a charge which truly is a new record on portable analyzers.

Handheld Spektrumanalysator SPECTRAN

The SPECTRANs offer RF service engineers a highly portable and cost effective tool that enables to carry a spectrum analyser to areas that have usually been not cost effective when using existing "portable" products and difficult or even impossible to access with bench top instruments offered by other manufacturers. Our low cost and ultra portable spectrum analysers ensure that site survey and RF testing can be performed on any site visit.

The SPECTRAN V3 series weighs less than 420gr and measures only 250 x 86 x 27 mm. The low weight and small dimensions make it a true handheld instrument, unlike other "portable" spectrum analysers which can be up to ten times of the size and weight.

Limits display
All SPECTRAN units offer a powerful limits display. Just push the limits button at our Spectrum Analyzer and the high-performance Digital Signal Processor (DSP) of the SPECTRAN constantly calculates the limits and displays the results in real-time. Spectrum analyzers with this high-end feature usually cost thousands of Euro. Just save this cost by using Aaronia analyzers.

EMC antenna included
The shipment of each SPECTRAN includes a free EMC directional antenna which covers a wide frequency range.

Option 2xx: 6GHz / 8GHz / 10GHz peak power meter
A 6 to 10GHz peak power meter (3 versions depending on the SPECTRAN® model, see our price list). This option augments your SPECTRAN® with a power meter with up to 10GHz of bandwidth. Furthermore, it allows exact measurement of signal peaks with high crest factor like those occuring in WLAN technology, or extremely short signals, like RADAR bursts. What's more, measurement is performed in REAL TIME and BROADBAND, while at the same time being temperature-compensated. It is also an ideal solution for measurement of cable attenuation or receiver output. Depending on the actual frequency, the power meter provides a sensitivity of up to approx. -50dBm, while the maximum permissible level is +10dBm. By adding our 20dB attenuator (see price list), the maximum measurable signal level can be enhanced to +30dBm or +50dBm!

Omnidirectional Antennas
The OmniLOG series was developed as a cost-effective broadband antenna series for omni-directional measurements up to 8GHz. The antennas are small in size, cover frequencies from 300MHz up to 8GHz and have steady gain across the range. Compared to the HyperLOG series, the OmniLOG antennas enables the omni-directional measurement of field-strengths without having to point the antenna at the source. This allows for much faster threshold measurements.

DC-Blocker (SMA)
The DC-Blocker must be used if you want to measure active powered antennas like GPS or satellite dishes. It prevents the RF-input of the SPECTRAN from being destroyed by the DC-voltages. Simply connect the DC-Blocker to the RF-input of your SPECTRAN and you can measure directly on GPS, satellite antennas or even DSL/ISDN etc. lines.
